Description

Using a computer gets easier when the mouse, touchpad, and keyboard stop feeling like obstacles. Get familiar with cursor shapes, mouse buttons, clicking, right-clicking, drag-and-drop, scrolling, zooming, and other touchpad gestures. Next comes the keyboard, where QWERTY layout, proper finger placement, letters, numbers, symbols, navigation keys, and common shortcuts are introduced through guided activities. Optional mousing and keyboarding exercises offer more time to develop these skills in class or at home. The emphasis is control, accuracy, and independence, not competitive typing speed.
