Want Excel to do more of the work for you? Formulas can look intimidating at first, but this class breaks them into manageable pieces, beginning with the basic operators, and the order Excel follows when calculating a result. You’ll use familiar functions such as sum, average, minimum, and maximum, then learn how cell references allow one formula to adjust and work across an entire dataset. We’ll also introduce fixed references, conditional formulas, and IF functions that can return different results based on the information in a worksheet. Along the way, you’ll practice reading formulas, correcting common mistakes, and making sense of Excel’s error messages when something goes wrong.
